We are a fun group of mountain bikers out to have a good time. You will find that we have riders of all levels of fitness and ability. Mountain biking is a great way to exercise and is a lot easier on the joints than other activities like running and racquet sports.

We meet during the season on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5:30 PM at Great Brook Farm in Carlisle for a 1.5-2 hour ride (longer, if we’re up for it.), and Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM. All days, weather permitting. Saturday locations may differ.

Wow, with all these rides to choose from there is no reason not to try mountain biking! If you don’t have a bike, please let us know, we may be able to scrounge one up for you. As always, helmets are required to ride with our group and we obey the basic cycling rules of the road (or dirt as the case may be).

If you don’t ride but have friends or co-workers that do, please forward this information to them. Contact me by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for additional info.

See you on the trails!

Season's First Ride PDF Print E-mail

We had a respectable first ride this past Tuesday with Mike, Steve R., Dave R., Scott and myself. We even ran into Jim and Eitam towards the end of the ride. The trails were in pretty good shape, some muddy spots in the lower areas, but dry pretty much overall. We hit Heartbreak Ridge, the new part of Tophet, Keyes Loop, and climbed Nemesis. Not bad for the first time out this year. Yeah, I know you're all dying to know... yes, I fell. Going up the switchback to Heartbreak, the leaves were treacherous. I missed the rock wall, but came down pretty hard on my elbow. Ow. But hey, but I made it up Nemesis in my middle ring! Also, I am happy to announce that after spending an outrageous amount of money for repairs, my GT seems to be back in business. Looking forward to testing it out some more this season. See you on the trails!

This is a stock photo of Ben's Trek 930. He says:

I've added clipless pedals, but otherwise everything is stock because it was just that sweet out of the box.  I like the nice long reach from seat to handlebars that keeps things stable on the downhills. Also key are the rapid fire shifters that leave lots of handlebar to drive without accidental shifts.
